I will be selling premium domains that I own on the site. Maybe eventually invite others to link their names too. I need a very descriptive name that tells people exactly what the purpose is. I want everyone to see my domain and know that I am a domain seller but I also want the name to be spelled and said easily. Easy to remember also. Short is better but open to all ideas.Try to avoid numbers and hyphens and please no z instead of s or 3 instead of e etc. Very busy lately but will try to vote quickly. Thank you. Delia

  • Would you want something without the keywords domain and name? Something abstract like sedo?

  • Hello Steve. Thanks for the question. Probably not unless you can still hit the main idea somehow. I'm up for anything but since I struggle with self promotion, I need a very descriptive name if that makes sense. I want the name to say "this is a domain seller's website" etc.

  • Can somebody tell me if I am able to get more entries still if I picked my top 20 now or can I still edit if I like new names? Sorry I am new.

  • I hope I understood the question correctly: When I held my contest, at first I assumed I could only vote on 20 names because of the 200 points, but you have an unlimited vote count. You just won't distribute points to the namers anymore unless you edit the 20. Also, you'll still get submissions since you voted at least once.

  • Yep miss Dawn is right. As example I've got 2 upvotes with 20points, but when you have removed the vote for one of them I had -10 again which means only +10points from this contest untill now ;) Earlier me my self I didnt know that and I was wondering if that was an error from the system but by the time I understood that even if I got points I may lose them if the creators changed their mind & found better names. And yes you could upvote unlimited names untill the contest is ended, but only 1st 20 could get the points... Good luck to all of us ;)

  • You will still receive entries, because we compete for a winner name. We are posting based on what you liked and removing upvotes can bring confusion on our workflow (and of course some frustration). Being consistent on voting line is the best way to find your wanted domain. But COMMENTING on entries will help a lot!

  • Apologies to all. I did not know that the points would be deleted. I had thought the points were given at the end when the winner was picked. From here out nothing else will be changed. So I know now that I'm able to vote for more without points but it has helped me narrow this down regardless and I will probably pick one of the 20 soon.Thank you for everyone who contributed.

  • Butterfly, Thank you!!

Steve, your entries rocked too. I was surprised to win actually.. But "Congratulations" sounds much better than "Really"? :)

  • Congratulation! I guess it all burns down to individual preferences and choice. Good job, you've set it up fast? Is it going to be a Registrar, a marketplace or just your portfolio

  • Thank you Steve :). I picked you for my contest, remember rantwagon?

But Wow, they set it up already? Awesome. That was pretty fast!

Good luck with your site, Butterfly. I'm curious about Steve's question as well. Are you allowing other sellers in also? I have a few sites and was thinking about making a branding page too.
