Ours is an orthodontic practice that is combining several offices in the Northwest. Each office was previously associated with the former orthodontist's name. The new office will have multiple doctors making the adoption of any of the doctor's names difficult to do. We are located in a great town whose tagline is "We've got a lot to Give." I'm thinking to use www.shareyoursmile.com and run with the tagline of "Share your Smile" so that people aspire to pay it forward even if it's just a smile. We are a service based office. We are very up to date, but we also want to emphasize charitable giving and personal accountability. We will probably have an internal motto of "Highlight Smiles." The idea behind that is an EMPHASIS on getting that perfect smile that they can share for others to see. We also want to carry further to service that would be the "HIGHLIGHT of their day" and also "highlight" the customer's and staff's accomplishments to give them a place in the spotlight. I like the bright, vibrant colors that are being used these days with new products, especially sports equipment like Volt Yellow accents on running shoes or NFL probowl uniforms. This might drive our website, logo design and decorating. I would rather avoid names of elitism and I don't want it to sound too cliché. Having a family name does have the advantage of being familiar to people, and not sounding like a big corporation but is difficult in our situation. I had thought to use a local term to invoke a community involvement such as NW Ortho or Inland Ortho (I-ortho) which is catchy and not as long as using the entire word "orthodontics" in the name. My only contention with those is that there was a somewhat competing office that used to have the name of Inland Northwest Orthodontics until recently when they rebranded under the name of the new owner. Maybe something to elicit greater confidence in one’s self while still emphasizing the vibrant colors and personalities in our practice?
