Our idea in 1 sentence
A social food network for foodies to talk about food and order it for delivery.
The problem/need we’re trying to solve
Food is inherently a social experience. Friends, family, and colleagues play a huge role in influencing consumer dining decisions, yet the current food ordering applications do not provide any social engagement between it's users.
Brief description of the product
A social network for foodies and their favorite restaurants, to interact, share their love for food and order it for delivery right there and then.
We are building a social network for food enthusiasts to gather and socialize around food, and also order it for delivery to their homes, or pickup from restaurants.
Users can post about their favorite food, tag restaurants in posts, discuss specific meals and offers, and share their posts and comments with their friends.
Users can follow other users, follow restaurants, like posts, comment on posts, share their thoughts on a restaurant wall, and showcase their best food experiences on their public profile.
What are the key aspects of the new brand ?
Short, memorable, simple, universal and unique.
How would you like consumers to perceive your brand?
Friendly, approachable, Dynamic and disruptive as opposed to (Serious and experienced or Premium and exclusive).
How many words do we want the name to be?
Either one-word brand name (e.g. glovo, nike, amazon, twitter), or a brand name made of two short names (e.g. face-book, insta-gram, net-flix, snap-chat, tele-gram)
Does the domain have to be a .com domain ?
- The brand name must be unique (i.e. not used by any other company or app or popular social media page), and the .com domain shouldn't be taken by another company, unless it's parked for re-selling.
- Ideally, we wish to have a .com domain, and we are willing to invest a low 4-figure budget if the .com domain exactly matches the brand name. e.g. example.com (not getexample.com or tryexample.com)
- If the .com domain is taken by another established startup / company ? Then we can never proceed with the brand name as it's not unique in that case. The brand name has to be unique in all cases.
- If the .com domain is parked temporarily, or taken by any other domain reseller, then we can consider buying it if it's within a low 4-figure budget, or for the time being settle for a domain like getexample.com or joinexample.com for the time being, and in the future we would have better financial ability to buy the actual .com domain.
