The goal of both the physical location and the website is to offer proven, evidence-based medical weight loss information and treatment overseen by obesity medicine specialists. Both the website and clinic are meant to be a source of proven advice in an area that is full of unproven diet and exercise information. A key difference is that most weight loss sites emphasize motivation and willpower. We’ll emphasize physiology/biology and offer a shame-free, blame-free, hunger-free long term support for this chronic condition.
The clinic itself will not look like a typical medical office. It will be a happy, bright, welcoming. More like a spa or salon where staff walk-the-talk and we teach by example. For example, staff and lobby will feature standing or treadmill desks. clients and staff will go on walking appointments either on treadmills or outside, we’ll have a fridge and deli for grabbing some cheese, nuts, water, coffee, etc. You can even get some strength training done while you wait for your appointment.
