Client brief

I am starting a blog that will document my transition from a full time web designer to being successfully self employed. I will be sharing everything that I do to find and sell projects to new clients. The main purpose is to educate people who are considering this or that are already freelancing and looking to improve business.

I am looking for something that can be easily branded and memorable - no "howtosellwebsites.com". My first name "dan" (freelancedan.com etc.) can be included but not necessary.

Topics will include: sales, prospecting, general business, outsourcing, management, productivity, self-improvement, etc.

I prefer a .com but .co, .io or similar techy domains will work. The provided keywords are just for reference...none are mandatory.

Thanks!

EDIT: if not completely creative, I think there should be some sort of reference to web/web design/websites

Tips for choosing a great business name

Keep it pronounceable

A good business name should be easy to say out loud and spell from memory. If you have to spell it out every time you say it, it will slow down word-of-mouth growth.

.com still beats clever TLDs

Despite hundreds of new extensions, .com remains the most trusted TLD for professional brands. Customers default to typing .com - pick a .com name whenever possible.

Avoid trademark traps

Before you register, run a quick trademark search to make sure the name is clear in your industry. Similar names in the same category can lead to costly disputes later.

Test it in a sentence

Say "I work at [name]" or "Check us out at [name].com" out loud. The name should sound natural, confident, and memorable in everyday conversation.
