Client brief
I am looking for an evocative name for a B2B management consulting business. The important characteristic of an evocative name is that it evokes/inspires feelings which represent the positioning of the business, rather than describe a function or a direct experience. Therefore, the specific nature of the business is not-important and "premium B2B management consulting business" should be sufficient.
The customers of the business are large, multi-national corporations.
The positioning of the business is as a premium, boutique brand and so it should evoke and inspire feelings of sophistication, authenticity, trust, achievement, power, resilience. It's important that you "sell" me the name by explaining how/why it evokes some of these feelings. The name absolutely must NOT be descriptive or functional of the feelings listed above (or in any other way). Understanding the difference between evocative and descriptive/functional names is absolutely key to getting this right. I am looking for a deeply engaging name that stands-out from the typically emotionally void corporate B2B names (see below example of what not to do).
The name must be easy to pronounce, look clean and crisp, and its spelling should be totally obvious from the pronunciation.
I suggest staying away from Greek and Latin root-based name such as Acquient, Agilent, Alliant etc - while they don't carry any direct negative messages, they cast a cold, sanitized persona and are emotionally void. Similarly, the names should not contain any references to consultants, advisers, and so on (because they would be descriptive, rather than evocative names).
Finally, available .com is a must

Tips for choosing a great business name
Keep it pronounceable
A good business name should be easy to say out loud and spell from memory. If you have to spell it out every time you say it, it will slow down word-of-mouth growth.
.com still beats clever TLDs
Despite hundreds of new extensions, .com remains the most trusted TLD for professional brands. Customers default to typing .com - pick a .com name whenever possible.
Avoid trademark traps
Before you register, run a quick trademark search to make sure the name is clear in your industry. Similar names in the same category can lead to costly disputes later.
Test it in a sentence
Say "I work at [name]" or "Check us out at [name].com" out loud. The name should sound natural, confident, and memorable in everyday conversation.
