Rebranding of a downtown office building Name Ideas

Client brief

We are looking to re-brand a downtown office complex that consists of two multi-tenant buildings that are 14 stories each. The building will soon be undergoing some cosmetic improvements to modernize the look, and we'd like to couple that with the launch of a new name as well. The buildngs are connected only on the first floor and mezzanine levels. They are located at the corner of Kilbourn Avenue and Broadway Street, so a play off of the street names would be considered. Overall, we'd like the name to evoke a new, fresh, and inviting feeling, while capturing all that the building has to offer (great culture among tenants, great location, etc.) Click on the website below to see a photo of the buildings.

Naming tips for Rebranding of a downtown office building

Keep it pronounceable

A good business name should be easy to say out loud and spell from memory. If you have to spell it out every time you say it, it will slow down word-of-mouth growth.

.com still beats clever TLDs

Despite hundreds of new extensions, .com remains the most trusted TLD for professional brands. Customers default to typing .com - pick a .com name whenever possible.

Avoid trademark traps

Before you register, run a quick trademark search to make sure the name is clear in your industry. Similar names in the same category can lead to costly disputes later.

Test it in a sentence

Say "I work at [name]" or "Check us out at [name].com" out loud. The name should sound natural, confident, and memorable in everyday conversation.
