Brand name - neighbourhood in Manhattan Name Ideas

Client brief

I am launching a brand (t-shirt mostly) and looking for a name.

Background. Neighboorhoods in Manhattan in New York City have different names. Names are usually acronyms: e.g. Soho=South of Houston Street, Tribeca=Triangle Below Canal Street, Nolita=North of Little Italy, Dumbo=Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass etc.. For a non-comprehensive list of them see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Manhattan_neighborhoods

Criteria for the brand name. The brand name should be an acronym for a specific area in Manhattan, such as Soho, Tribeca, Nolita, Dumbo are. The area is identified by the following map: https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=zK_3OeZihbJE.kHzLQWmsvdEw

The area is pentagonal, but it is flexible to become a quadrilateral or triangle, if the acronym is nicer to hear. For example, "Pen" (for "Pentagon")can be in the acronym as well as "Tri" (for "Triangle"). It is not necessary to have Pen or Tri in the name. This is optional.

I am looking for a name that is simple to remember, nice to hear and "surprising" (like someone is surprised when know that Dumbo means "Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass")

IMPORTANT. Together, with the name I would also need to know what the acronym stands for. Put it somewhere (in the comment?). E.g. Soho=South of Houston Street.

LENGTH. Ideally 4 or 5. Maximum 8 characters.

EXAMPLES. Pewho=PEntagon West Houston street

Naming tips for Brand name - neighbourhood in Manhattan

Keep it pronounceable

A good business name should be easy to say out loud and spell from memory. If you have to spell it out every time you say it, it will slow down word-of-mouth growth.

.com still beats clever TLDs

Despite hundreds of new extensions, .com remains the most trusted TLD for professional brands. Customers default to typing .com - pick a .com name whenever possible.

Avoid trademark traps

Before you register, run a quick trademark search to make sure the name is clear in your industry. Similar names in the same category can lead to costly disputes later.

Test it in a sentence

Say "I work at [name]" or "Check us out at [name].com" out loud. The name should sound natural, confident, and memorable in everyday conversation.
