Understanding Credits
Credit Allocation
AI-powered features on NameStation use credits. Your credit balance depends on your plan:
- Free accounts -- Receive daily credits that refresh automatically each day
- Pro accounts -- Receive a monthly credit allocation that resets with your billing cycle
- Team workspaces -- Share a pooled credit balance across all members
Credit Usage
Credits are consumed by:
- AI Domain Search -- Each AI search session uses credits based on complexity
- AI-powered generators -- Generators that use AI (like Topic Search) consume credits
Basic generators like Bulk Check, All Extensions, and All Combinations do not require credits.
Checking Your Balance
View your current credit balance in your workspace settings or in the header bar. The balance updates in real-time as you use credits.

Pro
For serious naming work:
- Larger monthly credit allocation
- Priority AI processing
- Advanced features

Team
For organizations and agencies:
- Shared credit pool across team members
- Unlimited team members (no per-seat charges)
- Team collaboration features
- Centralized billing and management

Managing Your Subscription
Upgrading
Upgrade your plan from the billing settings in your workspace. Upgrades take effect immediately, and you'll receive a prorated credit for the remainder of your current billing period.
Downgrading
Downgrade your plan from the same billing settings. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period -- you keep your current plan's benefits until then.
Canceling
Cancel your subscription from billing settings. Your account reverts to the free plan at the end of the current billing period. Your projects, favorites, and data are preserved.

NameStation accepts major credit and debit cards through our secure payment processor (Stripe):

Updating Payment
Update your payment method from the billing settings. Your new card will be used for the next billing cycle.
Billing Issues
If a payment fails, you'll receive an email notification. Update your payment method within the grace period to avoid service interruption.
Invoices and Receipts
Access your billing history and download invoices from the billing settings page. Each invoice includes:
- Subscription charges
- Plan changes (upgrades or downgrades)
- Credit top-ups (if applicable)
