Understanding Workspaces
A workspace is your organizational home on NameStation. It contains your projects, credits, team members, and billing settings.
Personal Workspace
Every account starts with a personal workspace. It's yours alone -- your projects, credits, and settings are private.
Team Workspaces
Create a team workspace to collaborate with others. Team workspaces provide:
- Shared credit pool -- All members draw from the same credit balance
- Shared projects -- Team members can view and contribute to projects
- Centralized billing -- One subscription covers the entire team
- Role-based access -- Control who can manage settings and billing
Team Management
Inviting Members
To invite team members:
- Go to your workspace settings
- Navigate to the Members tab
- Enter the email address of the person you want to invite
- Choose their role (Owner or Member)
- Send the invitation
Invitees receive an email with a link to join your workspace.
Roles
- Owner -- Full access to workspace settings, billing, and member management. Can transfer ownership.
- Member -- Can create projects, run searches, and save favorites. Cannot manage billing or members.
Transferring Ownership
Owners can transfer workspace ownership to another member from the Members settings. The new owner gains full administrative access.
Removing Members
Owners can remove members from the workspace. Removed members lose access to shared projects and credits but keep their personal workspace.
Team Members & Pricing
Unlimited Team Members
Paid plans include unlimited team members at no extra per-person cost. Invite as many admins and members as you need -- your subscription is a flat plan price, not a per-seat charge.
Shared Credits
Credits are pooled at the workspace level. All members share the same credit balance, and usage is tracked per member for transparency.
Workspace Settings
General Settings
Customize your workspace with:
- Workspace name -- A descriptive name for your team
- Description -- What this workspace is for
Switching Workspaces
If you belong to multiple workspaces, use the workspace switcher in the header to switch between them. Your active workspace determines which projects and credits you're using.
Creating a New Workspace
Create additional workspaces from your settings. Each workspace has its own subscription, credits, and member list.
